Privacy Policy

BharatTax.net and gst.bharattax.net (“BharatTax”, “we”) are operated by Neo Learnings Private Limited, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use either site, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your account. If you create an account we store your email address, your name if you give it, and a one-way hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
• Sign in with Google, LinkedIn or Facebook. If you sign in this way we receive your email address, your name and an account identifier from that provider, and nothing else. We do not receive your password and we cannot post on your behalf.
• Reading counts. The free tier allows a set number of full judgments each month, so for signed-in readers we record which judgments were opened and when.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive an order reference, the amount and whether the payment succeeded. Card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay directly and never reach us.
• Usage and server logs. Like any website we record the pages requested, the IP address, browser type, referring page and time. We use this to count visits, keep the service running and defend it against abuse.
• Error reports. If you report a problem with a judgment we store what you wrote and the IP address it came from.

Cookies and local storage

We set one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It lasts up to 30 days and ends when you sign out. Your bookmarks and reading history are kept only in your own browser’s local storage; they are not sent to us. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. The only third-party script is Razorpay’s checkout, loaded on the account page when you choose to pay.

How we use it

• to provide the service, including your account, subscription and free-tier allowance
• to confirm payments and send receipts or messages about your account
• to fix errors, measure which pages are used, and protect the service from abuse

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the services that run the site for us (Razorpay for payments, our hosting provider, and the sign-in provider you chose), or where the law requires it.

Judgments and the people named in them

The judgments on these sites are public orders of Indian courts and tribunals, published as issued. If you are named in one and believe something here is wrong, or there is a legal reason it should not be shown, write to us and we will look at it.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Logs and usage records are kept for as long as they are useful for running and securing the service.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to close your account, by writing to info@neolearnings.com. We will respond within 30 days. Records we must keep by law, such as payment records, are kept for the period the law requires even after an account is closed.

Security

Both sites are served only over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and session tokens are stored only in hashed form. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what we hold.
