O R D E R Per Pavan Kumar Gadale, JM This is an appeal filed by the assessee against the order of the

Commissioner of Income Tax-1, Bhubaneswar dated 30.3.2015 u/s.263

of the Act for the assessment year 2011-12.

adjourned at the request of ld A.R. of the assessee to 3.10.2017. On

3.10.2017, no one was present on behalf of the assessee and, therefore,

the case was again adjourned to 12.12.2017. Notice of hearing dated

6.10.2017 was sent to the assessee by Speed Post. However, on

12.12.2017, when the case was called for hearing, no one was present on

behalf of the assessee nor any application for adjournment was filed.

From the above conduct of the assessee, we infer that the assessee is not

interested in pursuing his appeal before the Tribunal. While taking this

view, we derive support from the decision of ITAT Delhi Bench in the case

of CIT vs. Multiplan India Pvt Ltd.m 38 ITD 320 (Del). Accordingly, we

dismiss the appeal of the assessee for want of prosecution.
