PER JAGADISH, A.M : Aforesaid appeal filed by the assessee for Assessment Year (AY) 2016-17 arises out of the order of Learned Commissioner of Income Tax (NFAC), Delhi [hereinafter “CIT(A)”] dated 27.11.2024 in the matter of assessment framed by Ld. Assessing Officer [AO] u/s. 147 r.w.s 144B of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (hereinafter “the Act”) dated 25.05.2023. Rikab Chand
:- 2 -:
There is a delay of 216 days in filing the appeal by the assessee. The assessee has not filed any application for condonation of delay nor has furnished any explanation for such an inordinate delay.
When the appeal was called out, no one appeared. The assessee has neither explained the delay in filing the appeal nor appeared for hearing. In the absence of any reasonable cause being shown, we are not inclined to condone the delay. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed as time-barred. 4. In the result, the appeal filed by the assessee is dismissed.
