24. Even a divorced wife is entitled for maintenance. When the divorced wife is entitled for maintenance, why not for a destitute wife during subsisting marriage. Therefore it is discrimination that divorced wife is entitled for maintenance and a destitute wife just because living separately is not entitled for maintenance.
